RENO, Nev. (September 9, 2024) – Guests are invited to roll up their sleeves and dive into a feast steeped in history as The Beefsteak returns to Charlie Palmer Steak at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 6 to 9 p.m. Inspired by a New York tradition that dates back to the Victorian era, this cutlery-free beef bacchanal is an evening of indulgence that’s not for the faint of heart.

The Beefsteak banquets began in the late 19th century as working-class celebrations, where mountains of meat and endless pitchers of beer were consumed with bare hands, and formalities were tossed aside. True to its roots, Charlie Palmer’s version embraces the original spirit with copious amounts of beef, abundant libations and live music that invites guests to sing along as they feast. Utensils are optional, and festive embroidered aprons will be provided to all that join.

The evening kicks off with a lavish array of appetizers, including prosciutto and honeycomb, balsamic melons, charcuterie and cheese, warm raclette and pickled vegetable finger sandwiches, all paired alongside Ward Eight Whiskey. For the second course, guests can enjoy an elevated steakhouse chop salad, blue crab-stuffed Yukon potato imperial gratin and upside-down baby lobster tails.

For the main course, guests can pick from a trio of extraordinary dishes to continue the culinary adventure. For the classic steakhouse experience, guests can enjoy a signature smoked, dry aged prime rib, made from the highest quality beef and smoked to tender perfection. Additionally, guests can enjoy a succulent lamb abbachio, expertly prepared with aromatics to enhance the flavor. For guests seeking a touch of sweetness, guests can enjoy a gourmet Hudson Valley roasted duck, roasted with garlic and herbs to golden perfection and balanced with a sweet glaze. An ensemble of delectable side dishes, such as roasted heirloom carrots, charred broccolini perfectly complement the main course, ensuring a truly remarkable dining experience.

As the celebration draws to a close, guests will be treated to a sweet finale, including Charlie’s peanut butter bar shooters, cream puffs, strawberry dark chocolate miniature ice cream cones and coffee crunch milk chocolate and Charlie’s peanut butter bar shooters — because a Beefsteak wouldn’t be complete without a bit of excess.

Guests can also tap into an incredible selection of beers from homegrown breweries including Brewers Cabinet and The Fox with whiskey provided by Frey Ranch. Plus, wine enthusiasts can also sip, swirl and savor from an award-winning selection of reds, whites and more.

Renowned chef Charlie Palmer will preside as master of ceremonies and live entertainment by local favorites, Eric and Joel from The Novelists will keep the atmosphere lively. A song book will be provided for those inclined to join the merriment and sing along.
