RENO, Nev. (Nov. 29, 2023) – Reno’s only celebrity chef-owned restaurant, Charlie Palmer Steak Reno at Grand Sierra Resort (GSR), is excited to invite guests to celebrate the holidays with a festive five-course dinner that showcases Charlie’s tasteful portfolio of wines from Sonoma County on Saturday, Dec. 9 starting at 6 p.m.
Guests will enjoy a thoughtfully curated menu that embodies holiday flavors and seasonal ingredients starting with a selection of passed hors d’oeuvres including a baked gougére, mini BLT sandwiches and tuna tartare on fresh cucumber followed by the first course, a delicious Maine lobster salad. Made with succulent lobster and topped with a citrus dressing, this light starter course is paired perfectly with Champagne Palmer for a burst of flavor.
Served with a Limestone Chardonnay, the second course is caramelized diver sea scallops, served alongside squash risotto and a crisp shallot. For the third course, guests will enjoy a liberty duck tortellini with winter truffles, served in a hot Brodo broth with roasted root vegetables, burgundy truffles and paired with a Charlie Clay Pinot Noir — a sweet red from Chef Palmer’s label.
For the fourth course, guests can enjoy a perfectly grilled filet mignon, served with a potato gratin and topped with Crisp Maitake Mushroom and cabernet jus. The main course is perfectly paired with the depth and inviting aromas of a Bricoleur Cabernet Sauvignon.
For dessert, guests can enjoy Anjou pear and caramel fantasy petit fours, served alongside an assortment of delectable chocolates. This final course is paired with the sweet fragrances and mouth-watering freshness of a Bricoleur Final Note, an exquisite send-off after a convivial evening.
The holiday showcase will be hosted by Chef Charlie Palmer with special guest winemaker Chris Richards from Bricoleur Vineyards. An acoustic performance will ensure the spirit of the season resonates throughout the night.
