GSR earns 21 Best of Gaming awards including ‘Best Overall Gaming Resort’ from Casino Player magazine

Reno, Nev. - Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR), the region’s premier resort destination, was recently awarded 21 Best of Gaming Awards for the Reno area by Casino Player magazine, including first place for ‘Best Overall Gaming Resort,’ ‘Best Hotel,’ ‘Best Casino’ and ‘Best Suite.’ Casino Player, one of the casino and resort industry’s premier publications, annually polls its readers to determine its Best of Gaming Awards across a wide variety of categories. This year, as part of its 21 awards, GSR was recognized with 10 first place honors.
“The Casino Player Best of Gaming awards are a prestigious award from a highly-respected industry publication and it is truly a reflection of the hard work we have invested over the past few years to creating a world-class resort destination,” said Tracy Mimno, general manager at GSR. “Our accommodations, dining, entertainment and amenities are second-to-none and these awards serve as a great indicator that our commitment to providing an unparalleled experience is certainly being recognized by our most important critics – our guests.”
In addition to ‘Best Overall Gaming Resort,’ ‘Best Hotel,’ ‘Best Casino,’ and ‘Best Suite,’ GSR also received first place wins for ‘Best Pool,’ ‘Favorite Casino Resort to Vacation at,’ ‘Best Slot Tournaments,’ ‘Best Reel Slots,’ ‘Best Casino to Play Video Poker’ and ‘Best Place to Play Live Poker.’ The more than 2,000-room resort, which has recently undergone more than $100 million in renovations, also received several second place awards including ‘Best Rooms’ and ‘Best Spa’ and eight third place awards including ‘Best Comps,’ ‘Best Dealers,’ and ‘Casino Where You Feel the Luckiest.’
