Reno, Nev. - As part of its impressive and ongoing renovations, Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) began its exterior transformation with the installation of new LED logos and signage on the outdoor marquee and at the top of all four sides of the building as well as a massive LED screen that stands at nine stories tall and displays multimedia content on the West wall of the building. As it continues in its more than $50 million in updates, GSR plans to unveil a brand new porte-cochère and main entrance as well as further plans for additional exterior updates.

"Grand Sierra Resort has been an integral thread in the fabric of this community over the past 35 years and the new logos and signage, visible from around the region, provide a bright and energetic addition to the northern Nevada skyline," said Tracy Mimno, General Manager of GSR. "We are thrilled to unveil even more changes as we continue to establish Grand Sierra Resort as the premier resort destination in the region."

The new logos, which were completed earlier this summer, are 42' in diameter and four floors tall and have been installed on all four sides of the building. Adart, the company installing the logos, has done signage for casinos all over the world, including The Venetian, The Palazzo, Paris Las Vegas and many others. The logos, which weigh 4,000 lbs. each are designed to last 10 years before an LED needs to be replaced. The project also includes an LED diamond design on the end caps of the hotel tower that can be seen from several miles away.
