Governor Steve Sisolak recognizes Grand Sierra Resort and Casino as Veteran Friendly Employer

RENO, Nev. (Nov. 20, 2019) – Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) was recently awarded a Certificate of Recognition by the State of Nevada’s Department of Veterans Affairs as one of the state’s Veteran Friendly Employers. The certificate, signed by Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and presented by Colonel Katherine Miller, director of the Nevada Department of Veteran Services, recognizes and designates GSR as part of an elite group of resort-casinos in Nevada who have completed the Patriot Employer Program.

The program provides Nevada businesses with education and support to help fill teams with men and women who have served their country. On hand to accept the certificate were GSR General Manager Shannon Keel and Director of Human Resources Christopher Dear.
