Founded by Michigan native Ben Schneider, Lord Huron was initially conceived as a solo project, however, the project gained traction after Mark Barry (drums, percussion), Miguel Briseño (bass, keyboard, theremin) and Tom Renaud (guitar) joined the indie rock outfit. Lord Huron has crafted a distinct musical identity involving expansive storytelling and intricate character arcs. Accompanied by flourishing lyrics, Lord Huron’s reverb-washed sound unites elements of folk, pop and rock with soundtrack influences, creating a cinematic experience for listeners. The group’s fictional universe extends beyond musical mediums – Scheider’s background in visual arts also informs the group’s video and film, comic book concepts, fictional novels, as well as alternate reality game elements.
Lord Huron’s ambitious debut album, "Lonesome Dreams," featured skillful instrumentals, robust vocals and a cleverly devised narrative, foreshadowing what would become the group’s signature style. The band found its breakthrough when its single "The Night We Met" from their 2015 album "Strange Trails" became a viral hit after its feature on the Netflix series "13 Reasons Why" – the single was subsequently certified platinum by the RIAA. Following its quick succession to the mainstream stage, Lord Huron dropped their third studio record "Vide Noir" (2018), which landed at No. 9 on the Billboard 200 chart. The acclaimed album produced the fan-favorite singles "Ancient Names (Part I)," "Wait by the River," and "Never Ever."
In 2021, as the band cultivated a larger fanbase and refined its style, Lord Huron released their latest album "Long Lost" featuring the singles "Not Dead Yet,” "Mine Forever," "Long Lost" and "I Lied" with American singer/songwriter Allison Ponthier. Lord Huron remains on the forefront of indie rock music and promises to deliver an unforgettable performance. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
