RENO, Nev. (October 23, 2024) – Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) continues to demonstrate its commitment to the Northern Nevada community by donating $15,000 each to Robert Mitchell Elementary School and Vaughn Middle School, both part of the Washoe County School District.
“GSR is dedicated to investing in the education and development of Northern Nevada’s youth,” said Shannon Keel, GSR general manager. “For us, it’s about building a stronger future for the community and ensuring students have the tools and opportunities to succeed. Supporting the Washoe County School District and these schools is truly an honor.”
Members of the GSR Cares committee personally delivered the donations to Robert Mitchell Elementary School and Vaughn Middle School during Wednesday morning assemblies. Previous donations helped support additional needs for the schools including athletic uniforms, outdoor equipment, a new scoreboard, a book vending machine and more.
