Gary Clark Jr. To Perform at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, Wednesday, February 19

RENO, Nev. (October 1, 2024) – Grammy Award-winner Gary Clark Jr. will bring his genre-defying virtuosity to the Grand Theatre stage at Grand Sierra Resort on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2025 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for Gary Clark Jr. at GSR go on sale Friday, Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. PT and start at $39.50, plus additional taxes and fees. Infinity Rewards members will have access to presale beginning Thursday, Oct. 3 from 10 a.m. PT through 10 p.m. PT. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit grandsierraresort.com or call 1-800-648-3568.

A versatile artist and prolific performer, Clark has been enveloped in the music world from the time he was 12 years old and began playing small blues gigs in his hometown of Austin, Texas. It didn’t take long for his soulful vocals and bluesy guitar riffs to propel him into the spotlight and earn him an endorsement from local legend Jimmie Vaughan. His acclaimed debut album “Blak and Blu” released in 2012 and brought him his first Grammy Award for Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Please Come Home.” Although he was often tasked with carrying the torch of blues rock heritage into the modern era, he transcended expectations and incorporated funk, rock and hip hop influences into his following works. After a period of extensive touring, which included opening for rock legends The Rolling Stones and Foo Fighters, he released his second album “The Story of Sonny Boy Slim” in 2015, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Blues Albums that year.

His dynamic style was solidified in his 2019 album “This Land,” which featured a masterful fusion of social consciousness and stylistic variation and scored him two Grammy Award wins including Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for his single “This Land.”  His latest album “JPEG Raw,” an acronym for Jealousy, Pride, Envy, Greed, Rules, Alter Ego, Worlds, was created during his COVID-19 quarantine in 2020 and showcases his unfiltered artistic vision, blending African music, jazz, rock, R&B, hip-hop and blues. Doors for the show open at 6:30 p.m.
