Dream Theater To Perform at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino, Sunday, March 2

RENO, Nev. (September 10, 2024) – The iconic progressive rock band Dream Theater is bringing their 40th Anniversary Tour to the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino’s (GSR) Grand Theatre on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets for Dream Theater at GSR go on sale Friday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. PT and start at $44.50, plus additional taxes and fees. Infinity Rewards members will have access to presale beginning Thursday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. PT through 10 p.m. PT. Formed in 1985 by John Petrucci, John Myung and Mike Portnoy, Dream Theater has become a cornerstone of the progressive metal genre. Initially known as Majesty, the band evolved into Dream Theater, with Petrucci and Myung remaining as the only constant members throughout their impressive career. The current lineup includes Petrucci (guitar), Myung (bass), Mike Portnoy (drums), James LaBrie (vocals) and Jordan Rudess (keyboards).

With a discography that boasts 15 studio albums, Dream Theater has achieved critical acclaim and commercial success, including their landmark album “Images and Words” (1992), which reached No. 61 on the Billboard 200. Their fifth album, “Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory” (1999), is often hailed as one of the greatest concept albums of all time. Dream Theater's influence on the genre is undeniable, with over 12 million records sold worldwide and multiple Grammy Award nominations, including a win in 2022.
