RENO, Nev. (August 20, 2024) – When cold beer meets hot chili, it means the return of the fan-favorite Beer & Chili Festival at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) on Saturday, Oct. 19. Early entry starts at noon, with general admission at 1 p.m. The event runs until 6 p.m. and will feature a special awards presentation to crown the “People’s Choice” chili and beer.
Celebrating its 10th year, this annual event will showcase over two dozen local, regional and national craft beer favorites. Alongside these brews, local restaurants will be serving up mouthwatering chili samples and featured menu specialties. Attendees can vote for their favorite beer and chili, with the top brewery and restaurant each earning the “People’s Choice” title, a $1,000 donation to the charity of their choice, a $1,000 cash prize, and a trophy—along with bragging rights until next year.
Guests can also expect live music from featured bands such as The Electric, Bread & Butter and ‘90s alternative cover band Total Recall. Plus, DJ Rekoh Suave will be spinning hits throughout the day.
