Hailing from Mexico City, Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero have mesmerized audiences worldwide with their distinctive fusion of rock, metal and Latin music, delivered through masterful acoustic guitar performances. Rising to prominence with their self-titled album in 2006, Rodrigo y Gabriela swiftly garnered acclaim for their lightning-fast guitar riffs and intricate melodies. The album featured standout tracks like “Tamacun” and “Diablo Rojo,” cementing their reputation as virtuosic musicians.
Continuing their musical journey, Rodrigo y Gabriela released the critically acclaimed album “11:11” in 2009, paying homage to their influences and showcasing their evolving style. Their subsequent collaboration with the Cuban orchestra C.U.B.A. resulted in the album “Area 52” in 2012, further expanding their sonic palette.
