RENO, Nev. (February 26, 2024) – Grammy Award-winning R&B artist Ne-Yo will headline at LEX Nightclub inside Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) on Saturday, March 30, 2024. Tickets are on sale now and start at $25, plus additional taxes and fees. Doors open at 10 p.m.
Ne-Yo first gained prominence as a songwriter for Mario's 2004 hit single, “Let Me Love You.” The success of this track led to a pivotal meeting between Ne-Yo and Def Jam's then-president, Jay-Z, resulting in a contract with the label. Subsequently, he released four commercially successful studio albums and delivered numerous chart-topping hits.
His debut single, “Stay” featuring Peedi Peedi, had a modest commercial reception in 2005. However, his second single, “So Sick,” released later that year, soared to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. Following this success, additional singles like “When You're Mad” and “Sexy Love” paved the way for the release of his debut studio album, “In My Own Words” (2006). The album not only peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart but also garnered critical acclaim and received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Contemporary R&B Album. Additionally, it achieved platinum certification in the United States, United Kingdom, Japan and Australia.
