RENO, Nev. (Jan. 31, 2023) – Feel the love this Valentine’s Day at Grand Sierra Resort (GSR) with amazing dining specials at Charlie Palmer Steak, Rim Asian Bistro and The Grand Buffet.
Charlie Palmer Steak
Charlie Palmer Steak has a special Valentine’s Day menu made to celebrate love. Start the night with two appetizers. The first is an oyster flight made with Fanny Bay oysters served with a honey apple mignonette sauce, Kusshi oysters served with almond foam and Kumamoto oysters with caviar. Then enjoy a fresh grapefruit and avocado salad made with watercress, watermelon radish, arugula, crushed almonds, tarragon and a meyer lemon vinaigrette.
For the entree, enjoy a surf and turf made for two. The luxurious dish features a Chateaubriand steak grilled to the perfect medium rare and topped with a sweet fig demi-glace served alongside colossal shrimp cooked in drawn butter with a creamy duchess puree.
End the night with a Valentine’s Day-inspired white chocolate mousse cake made with pink velvet, raspberry gelee, candied almonds, a pink champagne glaze and truffles.
Wine pairing option available for each course. Appetizer pairing is Chardonnay, Limestone, Sonoma, CA; entree pairing is Pinot Noir, The Four Graces, Willamette Valley, OR; dessert pairing is Riesling, Trefethen, “Dry Riesling” Oak Knoll, CA.
This special menu will be served at Charlie Palmer Steak on Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 5 to 9 p.m. for $135 per person. Wine pairings start at $50 per person.
Rim Asian Bistro
Date night is set at Rim Asian Bistro with a three-course menu built for two. The night begins with a Thai Caesar salad made with chopped romaine lettuce, cherry tomatoes, rice crackers and shredded parmesan. This decadent salad will be followed by a crab rangoon made from fried wontons filled to the brim with crab and cream cheese.
For the main course, enjoy a togarashi blackened salmon served with jasmine rice, steamed vegetables and topped with a yuzu beurre blanc sauce. Then enjoy a teriyaki sirloin steak served with jasmine rice, steamed vegetables and topped with a soy mushroom cream sauce.
End the night on a sweet note with a chocolate-dipped strawberry cheesecake served with a strawberry zinfandel sauce.
This special menu will be available at Rim Asian Bistro on Tuesday, Feb. 14 from 5 to 9 p.m. for $50 per person.
The Grand Buffet
Valentine’s Day is grand at The Grand Buffet. A wide selection of delicious meats are available, including tender prime rib, rack of lamb, roasted pork with wild mushroom demi or grilled filet mignon. Guests can also choose from a mouthwatering array of seafood like maple glazed salmon, oysters Rockefeller or lobster Newburg. Other classic seafood options such as shrimp cocktail, snow crab, mussels, ceviche and a poke station filled with fresh selections will also be available.
The Grand Buffet Valentine’s Day special will be served on Feb. 14 from 4 to 9 p.m starting at $29 per kid and $60 per adult.
