Singer Lupita d'Alessio warmed the hearts of the world with her open, honest portraits of love's pitfalls as one of the first in what could be called the feminist movement in Latin pop and ranchera music. She has recorded hundreds of songs, including hits like "La Diferencia," "Inocente Pobre Amiga," "Mudanzas" and "Acariciame." With a career spanning over 50 years and with more than 40 million album sales to date, D’Alessio continues her legacy with her latest album, “Aquí Estoy Yo,” released earlier this year.
Mexican pop singer María Josè got her start as a founding member of the Latin pop group Kabah, who saw more than a decade of commercial success. After the group dissolved in 2005, José kicked off a solo career with her first full-length, self titled album. The album featured hits including “¿Quien Eres Tú?” and “Me Equivoque,” and was quickly followed up by her second album “Amante de Lo Ajeno,” which reached No. 2 on the Mexican albums charts. Her latest single “Me Quedo Aquí Abajo” was released this year.
