Gritty, edgy, and unfiltered sonic warfare is scheduled to hit the Grand Theatre this fall. West Coast rock group Testament teams up with the legendary German rockers Kreator hit the stage with special guest, Possessed, in an epic clash of West Coast and European metal sure to thrill.
Testament
One of the frontrunners of the Bay thrash metal music scene, Testament has influenced modern rock groups like Korn, Pantera, and more, selling more than 15 million copies worldwide. Their most recent album, Titans of Creation, released April of 2020, spread into unique horizons through developing crisp and fascinating sounds, all while always managing to present the genuine aspects of thrash metal. All Music Guide described them as “one of the most popular and influential bands of the thrash metal scene.”
Kreator
The North Rhine German band has been rocking out for more than forty years, sticking to their guns and outlasting their peers. On the way, they racked up more than two million copies sold, making them one of the best-selling German thrash metal bands of all time. “That was the focus point…treating our music almost as therapy. We’ve missed playing. We took all of that emotion and put it into the final versions of these songs- and you can hear it. Hope, anger, and power…it’s all there,” said lead singer Millie Petrozza.
With Special Guest Possessed
The Bay area band that started the 1980s thrash metal scene along with Testament, Metallica, and more. Recently revitalized by lead singer Jeff Becerra, they released their first studio album in 33 years in 2019, soon to be followed up by an album in 2024.
