Christopher Cross burst onto the music scene in 1980, when his first self-titled album swept the Grammys in an almost unheard-of triumph, pulling down Record of the Year for his single, Sailing, Album of the Year, Song of the Year (Sailing), and Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals. He would ride that tide right into both an Oscar and Academy Award for Best Song, Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do), from the film Arthur.
Sailing, while one of Cross’ most popular songs, isn’t the only chart topper Cross will feature. Fans can expect other favorites like Ride Like the Wind, Never Be the Same, All Right, No Time for Talk, and Think of Laura.
In his 50-year musical career, Cross has sold more than 10 million albums, and had five Top 10 singles.
