Life Is Funny
No two comedians are the same. And that is certainly true of Brian Regan who uses ordinary life events mixed with observational, sarcastic and usually self-deprecating humor to create a clean, off-center stand-up act free of profanity and off-color humor.
Originally from Florida, Brian Regan was raised with seven brothers and sisters. As a fan of Steve Martin, The Smothers Brothers and Johnny Carson, it makes sense that he would eventually turn to comedy.
He left college in his last semester to pursue stand-up comedy. His success at filling venues time after time proves that prolific writing, a little observation about life and a talent for perfect timing are all you need for a recipe of side-splitting humor.
Although he appeared on a number of television shows in the late 80's, it was his humor during his initial appearance on “The Late Show with David Letterman” in 1995 that solidified his place on the show. He has since made 25 more appearances over the years; he also appeared on “The Dennis Miller Show,” “The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn,” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien.”
In April 2007, Regan signed a deal with Comedy Central to star in two one-hour stand-up specials, release the specials on DVD, develop a show for the network, and headline a theater tour, “Brian Regan in Concert: A Comedy Central Live Event,” which began June 8, 2007.
He continues to perform his act before sold-out audiences and shows no sign of stopping any time soon. We can’t wait to see him live in Reno at the Grand Theatre and are prepared to find ourselves rolling in the aisles and tears streaming down our faces. Don’t be the only ones in Reno not at this show.
