Reno, Nev. – Xtreme Sports Bar + Lounge at Grand Sierra Resort and Casino flies into the fall season with its sling shot pumpkin toss 3 – 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 31 in the north parking lot. In addition, FunQuest will hold a Halloween grand re-opening party complete with food, games and a costume contest Saturday, Oct. 31.
Guests can purchase pumpkins for $5 to shoot across the parking lot, with $1 of the proceeds benefitting the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
On Friday, Oct. 30, local media personalities will compete in the pumpkin sling shot toss from 3 – 4 p.m. A $2,000 prize will be awarded to the media member for the furthest toss to benefit his/her charity of choice. Other giveaways and prizes will be distributed to participants taking part in the toss. Cookies, cupcakes, cider, hot chocolate and other treats will be for sale with proceeds benefitting the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
In addition, families and kids of all ages are welcome to enjoy Halloween fun at FunQuest from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 31 with clowns, face painting, balloon artists and more. Kids can participate in a costume contest, trick-or-treating , food stations and competitions including laser tag, racing games, Dance Dance Revolution, Guitar Hero and Hula Hoop contests. Guests may also enter to win raffle prizes with giveaways valued from $60 to $100.
