He continued making hits and also covering the famed music of jazz legend Nat King Cole for more than six decades. Some of Benson’s biggest hits include “Broadway,” “Turn Your Love Around,” “Give Me the Night” and “Masquerade.” In 2009, Benson was recognized by the National Endowments for the Arts as a Jazz Master.
