Reno, Nev. – Undeniably one of the greatest stars in all of rock 'n' roll, Carlos Santana will be performing his world renowned music at Grand Sierra Resort's (GSR) Grand Theatre on Saturday, September 3. For 40 years and as many albums later, Santana has sold more than 100 million records and reached more than 100 million fans at concerts worldwide. To date, Santana has won 10 GRAMMY® awards and three Latin GRAMMY® awards, the Billboard Century Award and was ushered into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998. He was also the recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors Award in 2013. With the 2014 release of "Corazón," surpassed the Rolling Stones and is one of only two music acts in Billboard history to score at least one Top Ten album for six consecutive decades from the 1960s on. Tickets start at $95.50 and are available beginning Saturday, June 4 online at www.grandsierraresort.com or by calling 1-800-648-3568.

Named no. 15 on Rolling Stone's list of the "100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time," Santana tied the record for winning the most GRAMMY® awards (nine) on a single project for his 1999 album Supernatural, including "Album of the Year" and "Record of the Year" for "Smooth." He also received the 2009 Lifetime Achievement honor at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. In April, "Santana IV" was released, marking the reunion of the revered early '70s lineup of guitar icon Carlos Santana (guitar, vocals), Gregg Rolie (keyboards, lead vocals), Neal Schon (guitar, vocals), Michael Carabello (percussion) and Michael Shrieve (drums).

The Grand Theatre, which recently underwent $10 million in renovations, reopened this past August and has marked itself as one of the top entertainment venues in the West with a capacity of more than 2,700, including well-appointed luxury seats with more legroom, wider seats and wider aisles. In addition, exclusive VIP booths with personalized beverage and bottle service are available for small groups and special occasions. Designed by John Sergio Fisher & Associates, the theatre also includes a two-tiered entry with an all-new, enclosed lobby, state-of-the-art lighting and sound renovations, as well as new artist facilities including dressing rooms, green rooms and an artist lounge.
