Reno, Nev. – Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) is set to ring in 2017 with extravagant parties, amazing dining and a night of entertainment unmatched by any other New Year’s Eve party in northern Nevada or northern California. As part of the evening, GSR will host its annual New Year’s Eve party full of festive libations and entertainment while LEX Nightclub, one of the top nightlife venues in the West, will feature renowned EDM artists Saint Clair and DJ Clutch, for a “Hello Hollywood”-themed event. Tickets for these events are on sale now at GrandSierraResort.com, along with holiday menus, casino promotions and a complete schedule.

Over the past several years, the region’s largest and premier resort has earned a reputation for its exciting New Year’s Eve party, which takes place in the Summit Pavilion. The dance party will feature live music from popular local band, Hindsight. The party kicks off at 9:30 p.m. and doesn’t end until the New Year is well underway. Tickets are available now and start at $44.95 per person, which includes two complimentary drink tickets, a midnight champagne toast, dancing and more!

GSR’s official New Year’s Eve party is only the start to the night’s festivities. The highly-acclaimed LEX Nightclub will ring in the New Year with its ‘Hello Hollywood’ extravaganza and balloon drop. The event begins at 9 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31 and presale tickets are $40 per person while tickets will be $60 per person at the door. Tickets include entry and a champagne toast at midnight. For party-goers who want to start the evening early, LEX is hosting an open bar from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m. The night will also feature returning EDM sensation Saint Clair and fast up-and-comer DJ Clutch. GSR will also feature some delicious New Year’s dining options and specials in many of its restaurants, including Charlie Palmer Steak, the only celebrity chef namesake in northern Nevada. Charlie Palmer Steak will showcase a four course specialty, featuring a beef filet “Rossini” and an Alaskan king crab ravioli on New Year’s Eve from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m. Additionally, GSR’s fine Italian restaurant, Briscola, will be serving a petite filet with sautéed jumbo shrimp and will be open Saturday, Dec. 31 from 5 p.m. until 11 p.m.

GSR’s all-new Grand Buffet will also feature a special menu for New Year’s Eve and a New Year’s Day brunch. The NYE champagne dinner, beginning at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, will feature peel and eat shrimp, snow crab and oysters, a selection of meats from the carving station including herb roasted prime rib, a variety of other dishes including steamed crab legs, Hong Kong style roasted duck, Yukon gold smashed potatoes and more, plus an assortment of selections from its salad bar, pizza and tandoori ovens, pho soup station and dessert bar. On New Year’s Day, from 10 a.m. until 2:30 p.m., the buffet will host a fabulous champagne brunch featuring additional delicious breakfast options like chorizo scrambled eggs, steak and eggs, Hickory smoked bacon and Andouille sausage with grilled peppers and onions. The griddle will also serve up grilled cheese blintzes, apple crepes, brioche French toast, pancakes and more.

The Grand Café and Cantina will also welcome the New Year with special menus from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. The café will offer options like Thai shrimp soup, stir fry whole garlic lobster, a bone-in 28-day aged Filet Mignon, triple chocolate cake and tuxedo chocolate-dipped strawberries. And, to bring in a little Latin flare, Cantina will serve specialty menu items including scallop tacos, a mixed grill skewer, Tampiquena and a Mexican bread pudding.
